Sandwich boards featuring quick clip technology are fun and easy to use. Quickly becoming a rising trend in advertising, sandwich boards featuring snap open technology allow for easy loading and unloading capabilities. To load or change a graphic, simply snap open all four sides of the sign frame. Once you have placed your poster, letter board or acrylic write-on board, into the allotted space, just snap down the four sides of the frame, and you are finished. Below are three prominent styles of sandwich boards with quick clip sign frames, used to market services or advertise specials, inside or outside of an establishment.

Sandwich boards with write-on surfaces, also known as marker boards, are a flexible marketing solution. Why would having a marker board with a snap frame be necessary? Simply because the snap frame holds the protective overlay in place, keeping your dry or wet erase writing surface safe from the elements. These elements include moisture and rainy weather or passersby erasing your messages. Anti-glare lenses make viewing easy while protecting your designs. Many of these sandwich boards allow for the actual write-on surface or marker board to be removed from its snap open frame. This convenient feature enables you to design the board without having to crouch down uncomfortably or lug the whole sign around to create messages. Keep in mind, this feature does not apply to all marker boards, but when it does- it is definitely an added bonus.

Sandwich boards that display posters are an industry favorite. When placed under snap frames, posters remain protected and are always easy to change. Typically, the poster is held in place by the snap frame under an anti-glare overlay. Snap frames eliminate the need to worry about moving your sandwich boards inside and out to change or update graphics.

Sandwich boards with changeable letters present customized messages in a professional manner. Changeable letter boards featuring snap open frames are becoming increasingly popular. These changeable signs offer superior legibility and are even visible from passing cars. The sidewalk signs are typically offered with black, white and sometimes red letters. The snap frame sign holder secures the letter boards behind a see through, protective lens which keeps the changeable letters from being tampered with. Replacement letter sets can also be purchased separately to add to their advertising flexibility.

Whether you are using letter boards, write-on marker boards, or double sided sidewalk signs with posters, quick clip technology has proven to be a highly useful framing system. Signage with snap open frames make changing messages quickly- a real possibility. Sidewalk signs with snap open frames come in the form of portable a-frame signs for indoor and outdoor use, or in double-sided sidewalk signs with water-filled bases. Because snap frame technology is a rising trend, it is quickly becoming available in all styles of sandwich boards and sidewalk signs. Consider choosing signs featuring snap frames; never has there been an easier form of signage.

School kids can’t get enough of pizza, and somehow that love for pizza does not fade when we get older. I, myself, loved pizza as a child. My family would feed my brothers and I pizza as a treat to celebrate special occasions. Pizza was a staple on birthday party menus, holidays, and special events. I still remember the melting of the cheese, piping hot temperatures emitted, biting into the crust, drippings of pizza tomato sauce on the side of our cheeks, making a mess, accidentally, and having loads of napkins next to us for when the devouring got out of hand. But that’s how pizza was when you are a kid. It was cheese, sauce, crust and messy. However, now that I’m an adult, and somewhat of a pizza connoisseur, I have noticed pizza has changed. It has evolved and I’m excited about what is happening in the gourmet pizza restaurant world.

Gourmet pizza restaurants are popping up throughout the nation. It is becoming a standard type of cuisine taking the restaurant industry by storm. But what is gourmet pizza, and why should you care? Well, let me tell you my friend. Gourmet pizza is on the rise. It is a thrill to uncover the ingredients, elements and food combinations used in this style of pizza with you. It is not your home delivery from ages ago. This is a fresh, innovative take on a household tradition.

There are distinct toppings and unique spices normally unassociated with prior pizza recipes. For instance, there is a little neck clam pizza with house-made mozzarella, roasted red peppers and parmesan. Alternatively, try an organic egg pizza cooked sunny-side up combined with prosciutto and smoked mozzarella. Or what about locally grown Schriener’s Sicilian Sausage with roasted fennel, house-made mozzarella and tomato sauce. Gourmet pizzas are your stereotypical pizzas but kicked up a notch. It is incredible to come up with these concepts and combinations of your favorite ingredients causing your taste buds to awaken and take full notice.

For the vegetarian lover, why not try a pistachio pizza. It has shaved red onions, leeks, and parmesan. Another vegetarian alternative is the potato and roasted garlic pizza with fontina, gorgonzola, and rosemary. It is a complete party in your mouth and everyone is invited.

Some gourmet pizzas do not even contain tomato based sauces. However, if you yearn for homemade, Italian, tomato based sauce on top of your crust, then, of course, order it the way you like. For gourmet pizza is an endless possibility of toppings, ingredients, flavors, spices rolled into one delicious pizza.

Furthermore, let me take this time to squash the misconception regarding gourmet pizza joints. Just because the word “gourmet” is included does not mean the venue is stuffy. There are places that are warm, inviting and cozy making it appropriate settings for the entire family. Additionally, you will find gourmet pizza restaurants with full service of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. There are some that are equipped with full wine bars, beautiful outdoor seating, and open kitchen concepts. Find a gourmet pizza near you today.

Many people can be heard swearing off pizza, wrongly believing that pizza cannot be a healthy dish. The fact is that pizza can be a healthy meal. Through this article you are provided some basic information about why pizza is “okay” to eat.

One of the big gripes that some people have heard pertaining to pizza is that it has too many calories. The fact is that you can control the amount of calories in a pizza by paying attention to the type of base or crust that you use and by paying attention to the types of sauce and toppings that you place on the pizza.

A way that you can keep pizza healthy is to eat pizza that has a thin crust. Thin crust pizza will be a pizza that has fewer calories and other benefits to your health. Moreover, you can make the base or crust itself an even healthier choice by using wheat dough. Indeed, in this day and age an ever growing number of people are turning to using wheat dough for their pizza base or crust.

Marinara type sauce that is used on most pizzas today is a healthy choice on many levels. Attention need to be paid to the amount and type of oil that is used in the sauce. Olive oil is a perfect choice in this regard – olive oil in an appropriate amount actually has some marvelous health benefits for you.

Because more and more people are becoming concerned with their diets and their health, there actually has been something akin to a revolution when it comes to pizza and pizza toppings. Leading the way are a category or pies that are known as California pizzas. These pizzas are made with a focus on healthy ingredients and keeping calories low – perfect pizzas for the health conscious person.

By way of example, many California style pizzas are heavy on fresh produce as ingredients. In fact, it is rather amazing what types of vegetables can be found on California style pizzas in this day and age. People are becoming really creative when it comes to California style pizza today.

Finally, you need to keep in mind that one of the reasons why pizza has at times in the past been considered a less than perfect choice when it comes to health consideration is the fact that people tend to over eat when it comes to pizza. The bottom line is that you can keep enjoying pizza provided you watch your portion size and do not over eat. Portion control is a very important step when it comes to healthy living and a healthy lifestyle overall.

Plain chicken honey. Honey chicken is primarily made out of the following ingredients: 500 grams of diced chicken; 1/4 cup each of soy sauce, honey crystals, water and pine nuts; two tablespoons of corn starch; and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. The procedure starts from marinating the chicken in soy sauce for at least a couple of hours. In cooking, you have to sauté the chicken before you add the mixture of the corn starch and water. Then simply pour in the other ingredients and stir until the honey thickens the sauce before you sprinkle the sesame seeds.

Honey baked chicken. This is another popular chicken honey recipe. What you will need is a pack of chicken good enough for the whole family. You may either use the whole breast part or cut it in half. You have to season the part with salt and pepper. With the use of a foil, start lining a baking pan then pour honey and taco sauce on top of the chicken. Since this one is baked chicken, simply bake the seasoned chicken inside the oven at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes. To enjoy one of the best honey recipes for chicken, make sure you check the pan every 15 minutes.

Honey mustard chicken. If you think the first two honey recipes are not enough, then try the chicken honey in mustard sauce. Grease a pan before you place the seasoned chicken breast – with salt and pepper – on it. Mix honey and mustard together with basil, parsley and paprika. Half of the mixture should be placed on top of the chicken before putting it inside a preheated oven for 30 minutes. Flip the chicken breasts then place the remaining mixture of the sauce on each of the sides. Bake the recipe for another 15 minutes.

Honey nut chicken. This is another variation to the honey recipes above. This chicken honey recipe is done by mixing honey with two eggs in a bowl and tossing pecans, salt, pepper and bread crumbs in another. The chicken pieces should be dipped inside the bowl with mixed eggs and honey before dredging them inside the other bowl. Lay them inside a greased baking pan then pour melted butter over the chicken. Leave them inside the preheated oven for at least 40 minutes.

These are but few of the honey recipes for chicken. This proves that you can create a lot of options for chicken honey in your list. You may do things on your own or simply copy steps in cookbooks or health and food web sites over the net. The purpose of a chicken tractor is to provide shelter. It is portable and can be a part time or full time shelter for your chickens. It can be moved around the yard to supply the chickens with continual supply of fresh forage. This also allows you to distribute their compost around the yard.

Chicken tractors come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Most people tend to make their own chicken tractors. There is no specific way in how to design the chicken tractor. This is up to the person building the coop. People can be very innovative and resourceful. I don’t think I have ever seen 2 chicken tractors that look the same.

Chickens are a great addition to anyone’s garden or farm. They are easy to care for and render many benefits. As they peck and scratch around the yard they cultivate the ground. They dispose of weeds and insects while they forage. They supply us with meat and eggs. And they freely fertilize the yard or garden with natural manure.

Chickens can also make great pets. If you take all these benefits and add a chicken tractor in the mix it amplifies all of these benefits. With a chicken tractor you can raise healthy free range chickens. The tractor makes it possible to provide the birds with varying food sources and clean living space. The tractor will keep the chickens from eating the plants that you don’t want them to eat and keep predators from eating them.

When you are ready to design your chicken tractor there are many options to consider. The most familiar option that most people go with is the closed top open bottom design. With this design the idea is to cover the chickens giving them a nice size area to peck and scratch and can still be protected when the sun goes down. If you were to build the chicken tractor with a roosting area and nesting boxes it could also be used as a full time living area.

There are a few more options when thinking about a chicken tractor. You could assemble a regular chicken coop with wheels and create a temporary area around the coop that gives the chickens access to forage.

Before you make your choice on which option is best for you, think about the following:

How many chickens will you need to house?

How much space do you have?

If you have little room and only plan on having a few chickens then an open bottom tractor on wheels is the best option. If you only had 2 or 3 chickens you would still be able to obtain the benefits of their foraging and fertilizing the area.

What is the purpose of your chickens?

Do you only want eggs and meat or do you want all the benefits that they can yield? If you plan on selling your eggs then you will likely have more than just a few chickens. You will then want a more permanent coop that accommodates easy rotation and grazing that will not take up a lot of your time moving them from one spot to another as they will clear the ground quickly of weeds and insects.

One of the advantages of building your own chicken tractor is that you can recycle old wood to build the coop. And this of course will also save you money. Look around your yard, garage and even your neighborhood for scrap wood. This will cut the cost substantially and of course recycling is always a good thing.

After you have rounded up these old scraps you can then begin to design the coop. Get creative and come up with a design that will take advantage of the scrap wood that you have collected.

Do you know designing and building a chicken coop is really a rewarding experience? By following these top ten tips, you can be assured that you will have a safe and healthy environment for your hens.

1. Ascertain the Chicken Coop Size

You should plan the size of the chicken coop well before designing it. You should know that smaller sized coops are better for a limited number of chickens. My advice is go for large sized house because the number of chickens will be increased in future due course (You can increase the number of chickens within few days of start your breeding plan of hens).

2. Don’t Spend Lot of Money on a ready made Coop

You will be fascinated with the pre-built coops. But the builders will include the premium for their services in the rate of the equipment. If you make your own chicken coop, it would be fairly inexpensive than the ready made one.

3. Provide enough space in your Yard

You should provide adequate space in your backyard. This is one of the prerequisite to build a backyard coop.

4. Proper ventilation provision is must

If you want to raise healthy chickens, then you need a fresh supply of clean air. This can be achieved by proper ventilation which will also prevent build up of ammonia and carbon dioxide along the inner walls. Build windows that can be opened and closed.

5. Provide Proper Light

Hens are natural light lovers. Provision of proper light source is must for your chickens to lay plenty of eggs throughout the year. Try to provide light through out the daytime and nighttime. Light will induce pituitary gland, which in turn help the chicken to start lay in correct time and high number of eggs in the lifetime.

Never under estimates the damage those predators can cause to your chickens. Have proper protection in the house run so that animals cannot dig underground.

5. Make sure predators can’t get in

Predators such as Bandicoots, coons, opposums and, owls can cause damage to your chickens. Hence you should provide proper protection in the house run to avoid digging underground by the predators. More over, you should build the chicken coop on an elevated platform and also try to build a fence about one foot deep in order to prevent the predators entry into the coop.

6. Proper positioning of the feeders -

The thumb rule for placing feeders in the coop is 10-15 centimetres above ground. If you place the feeder lesser than this measurement, you’ll notice more crowd around the feeder and there is possibility of more wastage. If you increased the height of the feeder more than this, the larger birds will tend to take more feed than the shorter one.

7. Building the coop off the ground

This is an excellent idea. Yes! Building a coop above the ground level will help your chickens to produce more eggs and also get prevented from natural predators.

8. Select the suitable construction materials

You should take into account your local climate before selecting the construction material. If you are living in the warmer year-round climates, you should use wire walls or doors, but if you live in cold climate and wet for part of the year, build insulated wall as well as a solid one. This decision will make your chicken to live stress-free environment.

9. Adequate Floor space is essential

The normal floor space per chicken is 4 sq.ft. Try to adhere to this floor space. Don’t compromise with the floor space! This will help to stop your chickens from stressing due to cramping.

10. Perch for your Chickens

You should give ample space for building a perch (roost) for sleeping of your chicken within the coop. This will help your chickens to sleep well as well as lay more eggs. Try to use perfect smooth lumber for building a roost.

In the maintenance of the chicken coop, cleaning is considered to be most time consuming activities. Giving proper slanting in the floors will help your cleaning job of the coop very easy. In nutshell, you should consider predator control, ease of cleaning and proper ventilation in your chicken coop.

Breville TR40 Sandwich Press is one of those things you wish you had bought sooner. It is typical of such domestic products that in the past were functional and hidden and have now become an objects of desire that contribute to the home aesthetic. This great kitchen appliance is medium sized but this is more than enough for your needs. It is a cute gadget that enables you to make two sandwiches simultaneously. This electrical appliance is specially designed for busy singles or couples, retired people and working families.

Breville TR40 Sandwich Press is not highly energy efficient in terms of its toasting ability. While a conventional sandwich press works on 1750 watts of power, this cafĂ© style sandwich press works on 2000 watts. This does not save energy consumption and your cash that goes toward the power bill. On the other side it heats up very quickly and lets you know when it’s ready with a green light. Sandwiches take about 4 – 5 minutes to cook.

The good thing is that it is not noisy at all. The toast does not pop up when finished. Instead it stays in the slots keeping your toast warm and crisp while you are doing other things. It is designed to engage the user, re-invigorating the social context of toasting. And this café style so cute; it stands beautifully on the kitchen counter. It is moderately priced and great for people on the go.

Breville TR40 Sandwich Press has great features like top quality non-stick flat cooking plates, floating top plate that automatically adjusts to thick or thin Panini, integrated warm up and ready lights, and an adjustable toast height control. This kitchen appliance is really a very nice and produces lovely toast. It is pleasingly solid and it is also easy to clean because of its great removable grill plates.

Breville TR40 is not only efficient, it is also attractive. It looks good on the kitchen counter because it is so small and when you have to put it away, fits nicely in any cabinet. This is a great value for everything that this small, light weight and modern device can do.

This sandwich press has great slots, which can easily hold most breads, bagels, etc. It is around $40 cheaper than the 4 slot version. But it might not be the right choice for everyone. The quality of the handle is not as you would expect, but certainly better than the competition.

Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are truly an American classic. Still, one can only have so many before they get a little boring. Why not change up the recipe a little bit to add a little more spice to your lunching life? This little guide will share with you a few tips and tricks to “trick out” your standard sandwich. Guaranteed to revitalize your faith in the P, B and J tradition.

1. Ditch the jelly. Jams and preserves have a little more body to them; they spread evenly onto your sandwich instead of plopping down like big chunks of loose Jell-O. Jams and preserves come in many flavors and variations as well. Substitute in some strawberry, cherry or raspberry preserves instead of your typical grape flavors.

2. Go organic! Most peanut butters consumers buy are loaded with fat, and not the good kind. Trans fats and saturated fats abound, and when you combine that with a truckload of calories, your simple sandwich isn’t looking so appetizing anymore! Fear not, however, for all natural ingredients are coming to the rescue. Organic peanut butter contains no trans fats, minute saturated fats, and delivers a heaping dose of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats: fatty acids that are vital for your health!

3. Now that two bases have been covered, it is time to bring it home with the bread. White breads are average and boring. Why not take a leap and slap some potato bread or wheat slices around your delicious, crunchy, fruity center? Quality bread products pack a whopping punch of whole grains, fibers, and proteins that keep you energized with good, complex carbohydrates throughout the day. Who could argue with that?

The sandwich is complete! Remember, though, that a picture speaks a thousand words. Presentation is everything these days, and that square little sandwich is your canvas. For the timid, try a diagonal slice instead of your standard rectangle. For the more energetic, go for quarters!

A true champion, however, will break out the cookie cutters and really start getting creative. Nothing is quite as patriotic as a plateful of star-shaped peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, served up fresh on a national holiday.

Let the kids have a blast trimming it up themselves, then munching on the leftover pieces. Nothing brings the family together like a good kitchen project, and these little peanut butter delights will never fail to disappoint. For the brave: Triple-deckers!

How to Make Your Own Ice Cream Sandwiches

Make your own ice cream sandwiches. You will find them much better. Choose flavors like pumpkin, butter brickle, lemon custard, and more. Use homemade cookies that are much better than the sticky wafers you find in the store. And they are easy to make either by hand or with a tool. Get the kids to help and you will have a ball.

Ice Cream Sandwich Recipe or a Mix

The secret is in the wafer cookie. You want crisp, thin wafers that crumble when bit rather than squishing the ice cream out. Both sugar and shortbread cookies make excellent sandwich cookies. Or you can use a mix available online.

The following chocolate shortbread cookie recipe works particularly well. It makes thin, dense, rich shortbread cookies that are sturdy but crisp. The cornstarch in the powdered sugar holds the cookie together to make it less crumbly. (If granulated sugar was used, the grains would cut through the butter leaving tiny air pockets that would tend to leaven the cookie and make it less sturdy.) This dough can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or frozen for two months.

If you like dark, intense chocolate, you can make a richer cookie. Use four ounces of unsweetened chocolate instead of the semisweet chocolate plus two tablespoons powdered sugar.

Ingredients

3 one-ounce squares of semi-sweet baking chocolate

1 tablespoon butter

1 cup butter

1 cup powdered sugar

1 dash salt

4 large egg yolks

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 cups all-purpose flour

ice cream of your choice

To make the cookies

1. Melt the chocolate and one tablespoon butter in the microwave. Set aside.

2. Cream the remaining butter and powdered sugar together. Add the salt.

3. Add the four egg yolks, beating after each. Add the vanilla.

4. Add the flour in three parts, beating after each addition.

5. Scrape the dough onto a large sheet of waxed paper. Pat the dough into a square or round log. Wrap it in waxed paper and smooth the edges into a uniform log. Refrigerate the log for at least an hour.

6. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Cut the dough into 3/16-inch thick slices. Place them on an un-greased baking sheet. Bake for eight to ten minutes or just until set. Cool on a wire rack.

To assemble the sandwiches

Once the cookie wafers have cooled, you are ready to assemble your sandwiches. It is easier if the ice cream is slightly soft. Place a cookie wafer face down on a flat counter surface. Use a small spatula to press the filling onto the cookie. You can make them as thick or as thin as you like. Top it with another cookie and press the two together. Use the spatula to clean up the edges. Wrap the sandwiches in plastic wrap and put them back into the freezer for an hour or more. You can store your ice cream sandwiches in the freezer for two weeks.
